2012-04-09
The 16th Italian International Plastics and Rubber Exhibition will be held from March 24 to March 28, 2012, at the New Exhibition Center in Milan. The Italian International Plastics and Rubber Exhibition is held every three years and is sponsored by the Italian Association of Plastics and Rubber Machinery Manufacturers. It is the second largest plastics industry exhibition held in Europe.
Europe is a major production area for plastic machinery in the world, with products sold globally. It leads in precision, stability, service life, and production efficiency, receiving recognition from users in various countries. For a long time, Italian plastic and rubber machinery has ranked third in the world, and it has now risen to second place. Europe is a highly industrialized region with a high per capita annual plastic usage, leading to a strong demand for plastic machinery. According to relevant forecasts, the market size for injection molding machines alone is 800 million euros annually, while the market size for extrusion molding machines is also 500 million euros annually. In recent years, Italy's import volume of plastic machinery has been steadily increasing: imports rose from 567 million euros in 2005 to 589 million euros in 2006, and reached 612 million euros in 2007.
In 2012, the net area of this exhibition exceeded 100,000 square meters, with over 2,000 exhibitors from more than 50 countries and over 90,000 buyers from more than 130 countries participating, making it second only to the K Fair in Germany.
