Analysis of the Influencing Factors on the Development of China's Rubber Accelerator Industry from 2011 to 2015

2012-04-20

In recent years, the rubber accelerator industry in China has entered a stable development stage. Below is a brief analysis of the factors affecting the development of the rubber accelerator industry in China from 2012 to 2015:

1. Favorable Factors

(1) In the long term, the rubber industry will continue to develop.

With the continuous growth of the global automotive industry, high-speed rail, and aerospace industries, the demand for rubber products will remain strong, and the rubber industry will maintain a continuous development trend.

(2) The eastward shift of the international rubber industry has driven the development of the domestic rubber additive industry. With the eastward shift of the international rubber industry, China's rubber additive industry has gained opportunities for rapid development. In recent years, international rubber accelerator production companies have continuously shut down their production facilities, allowing the domestic industry to gain greater development space. The dominant position of China's rubber additive industry in the global market is becoming increasingly evident.

(3) Environmental governance further promotes industry consolidation, and the market competition pattern tends to be standardized. At the end of 2007, after the State Council organized the first national pollution source census, the country successively formulated more effective pollutant emission control plans and strengthened the rectification of heavily polluting industries. It can be foreseen that the consolidation of the domestic rubber accelerator industry is inevitable. Scale rubber accelerator enterprises with high environmental governance levels and strong new rubber additive product development capabilities will gain greater market space.

2. Unfavorable Factors

(1) Domestic industry competition is becoming more intense.

Currently, there are more than 200 domestic rubber additive production enterprises. With the rapid development of the domestic rubber additive industry in recent years, large-scale enterprises are expanding their production capacity, and the production capacity of some products is approaching saturation.

(2) Trade barriers caused by REACH regulations.

The EU REACH regulation officially came into effect on June 1, 2007. On the surface, the REACH regulation is a regulation concerning the registration, evaluation, authorization, and restriction of chemicals, but in reality, it involves the safety of chemical production, trade, and use, and is a new type of trade barrier that includes technical barriers, environmental barriers, and social barriers.

The development of China's rubber accelerator industry has both favorable and unfavorable factors. Major enterprises in the rubber accelerator industry should seize the development opportunities brought by favorable factors while bravely facing the challenges posed by unfavorable factors, and strive to develop their enterprises well.
