How to choose rubber antioxidants - targeting several types of rubber

Due to the different types of rubber and vulcanization methods, different rubber anti-aging agents need to be selected. Below is a guide on how to choose suitable rubber anti-aging agents for several types of rubber: 1. Anti-aging agents for NR and SBR: When selecting anti-aging agents, considerations should be made to improve the rubber's heat resistance, ozone resistance, and flex resistance. Anti-aging agents with good sustained stability tend to be more effective. 2. Anti-aging agents for NBR: For NBR, ozone cracking aging agents are more effective. This is because the anti-aging agents have good compatibility with NBR, making it difficult for them to migrate to the rubber surface. When used in conjunction with paraffin, they can enhance ozone resistance. For NBR, using low molecular weight paraffin is more effective. 3. Anti-aging agents for CR: Compared to NR and SBR, CR has excellent ozone resistance; however, long-term use can still lead to ozone cracking. In CR, adding a small amount of 810-NA (IPPD), 6C, DP, and other ozone cracking aging agents can significantly improve ozone resistance. Additionally, CD (dicyandiamide) is effective as a sustained heat-resistant anti-aging agent. 4. Anti-aging agents for ECO: Chlorinated ether rubber (ECO) is prone to softening aging. Effective anti-aging agents that can inhibit softening aging include NBC (dibutyl dithiocarbamate nickel), MB (mercaptobenzimidazole), and 224 (TMDQ). In chlorinated ether rubber, excessive use of amine-based anti-aging agents can reduce ozone resistance. 5. Anti-aging agents for ACM (acrylate rubber): The aging of acrylate rubber involves both hardening aging.

Currently, the rubber machinery industry fully considers factors such as improving efficiency, saving energy, and reducing pollution in product development, providing technical equipment support and guarantees for energy conservation and consumption reduction in the rubber industry. Industry insiders indicate that the rubber industry is a major energy consumer, and even a few percentage points reduction in energy consumption can lead to significant benefits. It is understood that through exploration and efforts in recent years, China has seen the emergence of a number of energy-saving products in fields such as vulcanization equipment, rubber mixing equipment, and tire component preparation and molding equipment. Professor Lv Baiyuan from Qingdao University of Science and Technology stated that rubber machinery companies are increasingly focusing on energy conservation and consumption reduction of their equipment, which aligns with the development trend of the rubber industry. The new national standard for rubber aging inhibitors is expected to be implemented within the year.

The National Rubber Standardization Technical Committee's Chemical Additives Subcommittee recently revealed that the new national standard for rubber antioxidants (RD) is expected to be implemented in the fourth quarter of this year. According to Du Jianguo, the deputy director of the Chemical Additives Subcommittee, the new national standard will add three indicators: ethanol insolubles, effective ingredient content, and diphenylamine isopropyl. This aims to effectively improve the intrinsic quality of the products. It is reported that the new national standard for rubber antioxidants was submitted in January.

Italian International Plastics and Rubber Exhibition

The 16th Italian International Plastics and Rubber Exhibition will be held from March 24 to March 28, 2012, at the new exhibition center in Milan. The Italian International Plastics and Rubber Exhibition is held every three years and is sponsored by the Italian Association of Manufacturers of Plastics and Rubber Machinery and Molds. It is the second largest plastics industry exhibition in Europe. Europe is a major production area for plastic machinery in the world, with products sold globally. It leads in precision, stability, lifespan, and production efficiency, earning recognition from users in various countries. For a long time, Italian plastic and rubber machinery has ranked third in the world, and it has now risen to second place. Europe is a highly industrialized region with a high per capita annual consumption of plastics, leading to a strong demand for plastic machinery. According to relevant forecasts, the market size for injection molding machines alone is 800 million euros annually, while the market size for extrusion molding machines is also 500 million euros annually. In recent years, Italy's import volume of plastic machinery has been steadily increasing: imports rose from 567 million euros in 2005 to 589 million euros in 2006, and reached 612 million euros in 2007. Recently, during the China Rubber Industry Annual Conference, a rubber industry production, education, and research demonstration base jointly established by the China Rubber Industry Association, the Qingdao Sifang District People's Government, Qingdao University of Science and Technology, and Soft Control Co., Ltd. was officially inaugurated. Li Yongwu, president of the China Petroleum and Chemical Industry Federation, pointed out that creating a demonstration base for production, education, and research in the rubber industry is of great significance for accelerating the "structural adjustment and transformation" of China's rubber industry. Experts introduced that the rubber industry production, education, and research demonstration base is a high-end rubber industry cluster supported by industry associations, government, universities, research institutions, enterprises, and intermediary service organizations. Its operational concept includes "three major characteristics, six major functions, and five major centers." The three major characteristics are achieving low-cost and high-efficiency operation of the industrial chain through a platform for research, talent, information, and an intermediary service system, as well as the development model of the industry ecosystem. The six major functions integrate research and education, intermediary financing, entrepreneurship incubation, cultural exhibitions, business exhibitions, and information platforms, forming a highly concentrated rubber industry ecosystem of trade, technology, talent, culture, information, and services. Meanwhile, with the five major centers of the global rubber product trading center, research and technology center, exhibition and cultural exhibition center, talent exchange and training center, and information center, the base can gradually establish its core positioning as a high-end industrial cluster.

Green tires will become the development goal of the domestic tire industry.

In recent years, China's tire exports have faced technical barriers such as tire labeling laws and trade frictions. Many countries have raised their requirements for tire performance, and more and more countries are either planning or have already implemented tire labeling regulations.
